LM have released the picture I was waiting for. Those of us walking back to our cars on Wednesday evening saw the Rainbow(s).

That's 2 beautiful rainbows, 1 lovely KC10, and 3 plug ugly Lightning II's :lol:

How could that airframe ever be compared to an F2A :Wow:

Well you could say how can you compare a Lightning F.2A to a P-38 Lightning? one is not being compared, or likened, to the other just because they share the same name! Yes two totally different types, for totally different roles, and a good 60 years apart! I mean really come on now!

Great photograph, but I'm so glad that you've expressed what I've been thinking for some time now, the F-35 is one of the ugliest aircraft I've ever seen! I'm not even convinced that it will perform that well in combat, but let's all hope that it'll never have to prove that to us.
