Hi,
Photos taken with telescope & dslr combo from my back garden viewing spot last Sunday 22nd when USAF C-17 07-7187 "Reach 377" decided to make a fleeting visit.
The crew must have spotted me and gave a nice thumbsup/wink from the nav beacon !

That is the clearest dot shot I have ever seen.
How did you do it, was the telescope somehow attached directly to the camera?
Mike

Got to try my old birding digi scope set up to see if I can get anywhere near that on the C5 that's approaching MAM at the present
No chance as it has clouded over

On my set up ( a Nikon D3100, an opticron digiscope adapter and an ES80 opticron scope) it gives me a focal length of 1350 mm but it needs very good light and a steady tripod to get a sharp image still I`ll give it a go if and when the sunshines this week ..................watch this space lol. If I use the D600 it gives me a 950mm focal length

How've you been getting on with digiscoping and the Opticron scope?
I've been thinking of getting one for a while [probably the HR80 ED + SDL zoom eyepiece], and see that there are a few deals on them at the moment. Like
this one, which includes a an Olympus VG-180 digi-scoping kit and Stay-on-case.
I have a Canon 760D, and was planning to use that with the scope.

weather conditions have not been suitable so far , I was away when we had clear skies , I did try the D3100 with a sigma 150-500mm and a x1.4 teleconverter but the results were not satisfactory
