A visit to RAF Lossiemouth 21st – 25th Sept

Post by WattieB » Mon Sep 28, 2015 10:28 pm

I spent last week around the base in mixed weather. Visitors were a Danish Herc, a US Navy Herc and a Merlin but I missed the Sentinel on Thursday. It’s always good to meet up with the Lossie regulars and I also met some new spotters.
Here are some photos from my trip:

Always nice to see photos from our colleagues north of the border.

Excellent selection! :thumb:

Ah - kiss of death if you mention the 'L' word Walter ;) Still, you've managed some respectable shots there chap. I do like FY at night with the red nav light.

Hi Walter,

Another excellent set of images (as usual)...love the pan shot of the 6 squadron Typhoon and the night shot of the 1 squadron ship. It was a great week up there, a lot of variation of types and visitors. I expect this week will be excellent up there with the exercise. A grreat airfield btw...always love visiting this place...fantastic viewing areas, nice locals and some brilliant jet action. Hope to catch up with you in 2016 mate!

Stu
