Can I ask how you managed to find out about their arrival. I guess you're going to tell me that it was posted on this site. If so, I'm going to have to become a more regular reader!

Thanks,

Tony.

The F-22s departed Spangdahlem in the morning to hook up with the tankers from Mildenhall. I believe one of the tankers had an issue so the F-22s, holding over Marham at the time, returned to Spangdahlem

Later in the afternoon, I was on the trailer in the field, word came through that the F-22s were coming back to Mildenhall - about an hours heads up (well about about and hour plus 30 before they arrived overhead due to the cable rigging at Mildenhall) - happy to be corrected on any of the above

This was more luck than being in the know - if you were within an hour of the base and not at work then OK - no more of a heads up than that. That day was one of the busiest / best days I can remember (including local traffic) for a long time with something in the air from the C-5 arrival at 8am to the 27th SOW arrival at 8pm!

Cheers

Darren
