Grand Race III over Budapest - Photo heavy (I mean it)

Post by Levente » Mon May 04, 2015 9:04 am

As every year on the 1th of May, the Red Bull visits Budapest for a grand airshow over the river Danube. This year with some Hungarian participation as you see in the photos. The show went well, I made some fantastic photos. After that I rushed to Tököl Airport where the Red Bull rested for a few hours and refueled before they went back to Austria. Because a big storm was approaching I tried to underexpose some photos to make them a bit more interesting during process. For the last...the Corsair and the P-38 came back for a final goodbye close to the tower. Great day it was, hope to see them again next year.

A really interesting set, looks like a great event when coupled with the vantage point you had!

Personally, I have never been a fan of 'Airfix' shots ( you know...like the models you had as a kid hanging from the ceiling with stopped propellers!) & most this whole set of aircraft & helicopters would not have survived downloading on my watch!
Clearly the Corsair shot has great Prop' blur + the Helo' followed by the Corsair again, all showing good Prop' movement. The superb locations & scenery cannot draw my eye from that Prop'/Rotor detail..... Spoilers.

It was not Red Bull if you were wondering :) Actually the company who owns and manage the Hungaroring motor-racing circuit, are the one who invites the Red Bull every year.
