Mexico Mil 16-19th March Part I
Mexico Mil 16-19th March Part I
After ten days in the States, it was on to Mexico for four days in and around Mexico City. Current stuff here, the museum stuff will be posted seperately.
Starting with a few shots of based VIP stuff at MEX, Gulf 550 3910 joined the Air Force in August last year, while still in service is the Presidential Gulf 3 TP-06...
At Santa Lucia Airbase, around 20 miles to the North, a few shots were taken of the active ramp from the museum. EVA (Escuadrón de Vigilancia Aérea) aircraft seen were Beech 350's 5211 & 5212 and EMB-145MP's 4111 & 4112 (one of the unit's rare Schweizer SA2-37B's is now in the museum)...
Then at Toluca, a handful of military aircraft usually turn up for the annual AeroExpo, and included a little display by the PC-7's of the 'Escuadrilla Acrobatica del Colegio del Aire' team. These are formed from Escuadrón Avanzado based at Zapopan Airbase, with the final shot of their PC-7 in the static caught with the sky in the distance lit up by lightning...
Museum stuff to follow. Cheers, Kevin
