Typhoons, Eagles and Hawks @ CBY

Post by Heal1979 » Fri Mar 06, 2015 9:54 pm

Hello,
On Monday 23rd February I decided to head up to Coningsby for the day. A great base with plenty of activity, lovely people to talk to, and sometimes even the weather plays ball north of the wash. Mostly Typhoon action but there was a pair of Hawks that visited and a few Eagle overshoots...

Hi Chris :P

Well worth braving the weather for those kinds of shots :thumb:

Underside of the F15 really does it for me, but they're all crackers

Best regards

Very nice shots

Were the end of runway one taken through a fence or did you use ladders to see over one?

Just trying to get an idea of what to expect if I ever make it down to CBY

I used step ladders to see over the white and red fence at the 07 centre point. Always worth having a set on you in this hobby :thumb:

Super set of photos Chris, some real show stoppers there.
Number 8 is perfectly cropped in my opinion, superb.

Lovely shots, hope to get there one day, my dad was with 29Sqn in WW2 and they did a flypast for his funeral.

I'd love to know what lens, camera, settings etc, and what (if any) post-processing was done.

Cheers,
