A400M Atlas ZM400, DSA, 08/01/2015

Post by benyboy » Fri Jan 09, 2015 5:38 pm

Hi all. Its been a while since I have had something to post in here !

First of all, thank you to everybody on DSAF for the info.
So I rushed over to DSA to catch the Atlas. When I got there it was grey, cloudy, cold ...and generally horrible ! After missing out on Tuesday and watching planefinder all week, it was great to see the Atlas in the overhead.
Photography wise though it was not happening. It was a bit too high for my lens and the grey skies did not help.

Then on the last approach, there was a break in the cloud :D

...and of course as they left, the light was perfect !!!

I did not get the shot I wanted, touching the tarmac with tyre smoke in front of the terminal. Maybe one day :D Hopefully I will have a decent SD card and a new lens with IS by then.

Thanks for looking.

Ben
