12 Hours at Lakenheath

Post by Skip » Wed Oct 22, 2014 1:22 pm

and a few hours at Mildenhall too...

Had a trip down the US bases on Monday and a chance to try out the new 6D. The day started out lovely with plenty of sun but it soon disappeared under a thick bank of cloud. There are a lot of images and I hope you enjoy them :)

Great work
The 6D will excel under those lighting conditions.
Lovely captures of the Osprey

A Nice set,
Have the 56th RQS got a new machine as one of the MH-60G's has a tailcode of FT

Thanks guys  the lens were all Canon L lens, 24-105mm f4, 70-200mm f4 and a 500mm f4. I think the Helicopter 'FT' is a replacement for the one which crashed up on the North Norfolk coast, I may be wrong though

Superb set of images Skip- some great variety on the angles with the locations you've chosen.

The FT bird is a replacement for the one the 56th lost up in Norfolk. Its been deployed out in Italy for a while, hence its still carrying the old tailcode. Now its back home hopefully they'll get chance to re-paint it with the LN code.
