C-5M 84-0061 (RCH979) on finals to Lakenheath rwy 24 earlier today. Unfortunately we face south for the approach so into the sun but reasonably happy with it.

Thanks Andy, really appreciate the kind words. Missed out on a C-17 this afternoon as I was on a video call to my boss. Very tempting to say "excuse me a minute..."!

Thanks for that. Even after 45 years of serving these, I still marvel at the sheer size.

LGW doesn't get too many military visitors, but since the COVID 19 restrictions we have seen approaches made by RAF C17, A400M, BAE146, Navy Wildcats and today, an RAF Chinook 1

Calling SHF557, ZA683 came from the southwest and then made an approach on 26L before heading away to Biggin Hill. Good thing about Chinooks is you get plenty of warning and I managed to grab my camera and get these shots of it on its downwind leg over Turners Hill

Its gonna rain, its gonna rain till the levee breaks, a tidal wave of fear and pain washes us away, another fight into the night until nothing else remains, how do we find harbour from the Hurricane?

More of a "at the side" than OTT, KC 10 inbound Mildenhall on 25th May, taken from back garden in Stratford upon Avon, aircraft was over Redditch at the time I believe.
Huge crop... :Wow:

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!
