I rarely see Nimrods from my house - probably because between me and Kinloss is Lossie - so seeing this come over low and close to the shore was a surprise. I shot this anniversary special from my landing window!

A classic view of a fine aircraft - a type I see every day but never tire of. Saw my first (actually one of the Nimrod prototypes converted from Comet airframes) at the 50 years of the RAF display at Abingdon in 1968. Flown in Nimrods several times, so glad we've got them for plenty years to come, role on MRA4.

That first photo is very nice... gives a perspective on what MARPAT is all about.
