3 Day jolly in Wales

Post by lozza » Mon May 15, 2017 9:02 pm

Spent a rather enjoyable three days in the loop last week, good company, good weather and lots of jets.

Lots of pics sorry, but if you make it to the end thanks

Picture 24 looks like he's using a sick bag in the rear.

I think F-15Es were doing unrestricted climbs last week whilst the 493FS were on their busy week, so I suspect it's someone up on an incentive flight.

Superb shots though - #8, of the Tornado, is amazing.

Wonderful set of shots. Love the sick bag, you can almost see what he had for lunch. Especially like the panning and sharpness of the slow movers despite low shutter speed. :thumb:

Firstly thanks for all the kind words :thumb:

As for settings I tend to shoot fast jets around 1/1250 unless I want motion blur and depends on the amount of blur this can range from between 1/200th - 1/100th, as for Herc's if you want fun disc then its got to be 1/100th, but quite often I'll crank it up as they pass as far as 1/250, if I'm using the 200-400mm f4 Nikon sometimes I'll crank it up to 1/1250 and just concentrate on the cockpit.

Hope this helps

Laurie
