RNLAF F-16 X4, RNAS Yeovilton 25th June

Post by Typhoon2 » Sat Jun 25, 2016 5:59 pm

Hi all,
Today at approx. 1507L, 4 Royal Netherlands Air force F-16s landed at RNAS Yeovilton for a mini deployment. They will be departing on Monday, but as I've still got college, I headed down today. After an hours delay, they arrived in style, doing one touch and go each, before setting down. The light was great for when they taxied past. Not a bad way to spend your Saturday afternoon heh?!

Here are some photos!

Thanks very much guys, I think the small music festival up the road from VL might have something to do with their visit, but I'm just guessing... ;)

0800L, but that could change, like yesterday! I'd say just get there early.

Hi all,

Nice photos,
The Polly's first made a flyby in connection with the Dutch Veterans Day in The Hague.

The delay was due to a problem with the Dutch tanker (NAF44), so they had to go to Leeuwarden airbase for new fuel
around 1510Lt (Dutch time) they left for RNAS Yeovilton. I read somewhere that they would make a flyby of a WWII memorial in relation to the 322squadron, but I'm not sure.

Kind regards,

Put together a short video of the formation, shot from on top of my DSLR with an old bridge camera, so excuse the quality.
