Hi all
Last Monday saw the Spanish Army conduct there 1st winter with Skis flight into the Sierra De Guadarrama Mountain range North of Madrid.
The training exercise was to allow 4 pilots to fly against the winds up against the mountain slopes.
They also tried to find some snow which was limited, to practice some landings.
Thank you to the crew of "Talud16" for allowing me to join them on this training flight.

Hi Rich

I recall you mentioning the Chinook skis hanging on the hangar wall from your trip last year. Glad that you got to go over and photograph them in use.

Can't help thinking they didn't find snow deep enough to really use them though.

Great set of pictures as ever.
