Spotting - Highlights from Malta! (Suggest you take a look)

Post by pshaun714 » Wed Jul 08, 2015 10:54 am

Hi all,

This is my first post on Fighter Control where I will share with you guys some of my highlights through the years of spotting. I am a 17 year old boy from Malta who really has a passion for aviation and I really love travelling abroad for airshows or events, in fact I've been to RIAT last year, Bruntingthorpe and I will be making my way to Radom this August! So lets get started, hope you like the photos in chronological order, enjoy :P

1) Libyan Air Force Dassault Mirage F1ED '508' and '502' Both Mirage F-1`s lined up on runway 05/23. High power engine runs and high speed taxis were going to be performed but it didn't last long as they had a technical problem.

You've caught some of the best visitors very nicely there, Shaun :thumb:
I have an identical shot of the Yemeni 235, which was a very nice bonus for those there for the airshow in 2013. Note it was carrying the US BuNo 168988 on the fin. You must also have shots of the RAF Tonka 'moment' shortly before?
That was my first visit there and i look forward to returning for the 'big event' in November

Thanks Pawlee, I really really appreciate it :) I upgraded to the Canon 70D and 100-400mm lens last year just before I went to RIAT. It was a good investment, had been saving up for it since I had a semi-SLR before it and was finding difficulty with fast moving aircraft. I simply love it and take care of it just like it's a baby :P
