A5 Pass - My 6 year olds first outing with Camera - HIS PHOT

Post by steve149c » Tue Jul 15, 2014 6:37 pm

Hi All

As the title says this is my 6 year old lad, Ryans first trip out with a DSLR. He has been Low level a few times and is well known locally - trips have been Loop and A5 and always a tornado! So we set off to the A5 today, he was armed with my old Canon 450D and 75-300mm lense, the camera has done 45,000 shots so is a little bit worn. But I must say I am amazed at what he got - better than I was.

All shots have had a little unsharp mask and crop - Camera running on Sports mode for him.

First up was Typhoon 78 with ZJ915 QO-X

Image

Then Tucano Lima 04 ZF485 on detachment to Valley

Image

Python Flight, NUmber 1 - ZK018/I was nice and low, second ZK035/AB was high and Ryan missed him

Image

Few minutes later, ZK012/C raced through

Image

He missed Tornado 035 as it was high again and ended up with just a tail - we've all done that though!

After lunch Tucano ZF343 through on a high line other side of Valley and a hard crop for the camera

Image

Hercules XV879 turned up - Ascot 128 and this was almost full frame

Image

Phyton Flight came through again later as ZK012 & ZK035, and one Tucano missed. But I must say that I am mightly impressed by his skills on a first go

Hope you appreciate and enjoy

Cracking work.
Perhaps the mods may consider a 'junior entry' comp, maybe twice a year (to allow 6months opportunity) aged upto 12 or 15. I think you'd have a title contender on your hands!

I think I'll give up now, I know when I'm beaten :'(

They are excellent shots. Both my teenage daughters who hardly ever take photos are also very good, like to think it's Dads tuition

My 8yr Son has a real aptitude for the camera as well.

Trouble is whenever we go off for a trip I end up without the camera.

May look at a cheap 2nd hand outfit for his birthday.
