Nicely caught Freddie,I really like it and can't understand you lot. You all bitched about the blue now its all about not enough blue then you complain that the jets are grey and then when they do something different you bitch about that too. Some people are never happy.

Yeah what are they thinking.....should have left it grey and not bothered. Really! Some folk just cant help themselves and I really doubt they could have done anything that would make you happy. Get a grip man.
An opinion is an opinion, much like an average scheme is an average scheme. There's no denying it could be much, much better.

So we can't have opinion now!! I've seen plenty of anniversary schemes over the years whilst doing this hobby & this to me is tacky, the 6 squadron emblem & 100 look an after thought & the canards just look so wrong, yes I appreciate 6 Sqdn painting a jet up but in my view it could of been a lot better..

It couldn't actually, that's pretty much all they can paint on the Typhoon! :\

Personally, I like it. Nice to see a Typhoon looking like a Typhoon (if you can follow that!)

Agree again with bigcrow and MichaelH. Perhaps if they did the whole jet in Desert camouflage i might have perked up a bit. I just cannot get excited by this generation of RAF fast jet paint schemes. It's not the painters fault, it's those who choose them from probably some really decent designs. If they can afford to paint a Puma HC2 in overall black with special roundels and markings then why can't they afford to paint a jet as a whole? It's not much in size difference.

Takamota, everyone is allowed opinions without being told where to go or get a grip. If you think differently, agree to disagree. No need to go down that road.

"It couldn't actually, that's pretty much all they can paint on the Typhoon! :\"

I think the 400th delivered Typhoon that lives in Germany might conflict with this statement.

I tell you what, there isnt half some crap posted on this thread, you should be grateful 6 Sqn have actually been allowed to do something of their own, the scheme is different sure...its meant to be, its unique..its meant to be. Well done 6 Sqn have a great 100th party and lets see it in the air.
Oh and who really cares whether its not an overall scheme, I certainly dont, those who moan should write and complain to the RAF...see what sort of response you get...some people are never satisfied...rant over

Rant away, you'll still not change those opinions who are against the half arsed attempts the RAF fast jet fleet are painted in lately. So what if some people are not satisfied? Just because you like it, who gives a damn, likewise if we who don't, do not. I could easily say what a load of tosh you've just wrote about liking it, just because i don't and i disagree with it looking nice. But i won't because we're all allowed opinions and different view points.

If i don't like ASDA sausage rolls but you do, does that mean i'm talking a load of crap? We're all allowed different views whether people like it or not.
Why on earth would i waste my time writing a complaint to the RAF? I don't like it, so what, no one else cares what i think just like i don't care what you think and it's not worth wasting my time writing a complaint that i care naff all about. This is an aviation discussion forum, so every single opinion can be aired... whether you disagree or not.

I think its you who needs to get a grip!

You guys don't seem to realise that this is a forum where people have civilized discussions and during these discussions, sometimes opinions are actually expressed on certain subjects. Incredible I know.

As for MY personal opinion, I think it looks awful from the shot presented.

Kindest regards,

Paul

Simple fact of the matter is, some people (maybe most) are easily pleased and that is of course 'in my opinion'. :thumb:

Happy snapping,

Trying to bring this thread back on track, I actually quite like it! Even if I didn't, I would still have said that 6 Squadron should be applauded for making the effort!

Just wondering if that's actually true?Looking at the german, spanish and the 400th typhoon schemes, they all seem to leave the upper and trailing edge of the tail standard grey?

The man hours that went in to this by the chaps in the RAF Leuchars Paint Shop, the struggle to keep to the rules, the artistic challenges that went in to keeping everyone happy in every section/rank and the many opinions that are in the RAF as well as on the forums - I applaud all on No 6 Squadron for sparing the time to get this project completed. Love it or hate it - GREAT effort! Have a wonderful Centenary Weekend!

Think that I prefer this to the 29 Sqn plane. I like the back to WW2 desert tank-busting camo.

Gerard

Didn't realise they weren't getting paid and giving up their free time to achieve that.
