Well done John, you lucky so and so. That is one of the best posts Ive ever read on here. You can sense the excitement in your words of a experience of a lifetime, something all the members would give their arms, legs, wives and kids for ( I would anyway ). Thanks for posting this thread.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.
Thanks also to Ian for the additional photos.

I found "myself" in Mikes thread at http://fox2.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=45762#45762" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A summary of this was published in the July "Cumbria" magazine.
Unfortunately XX185 took a bird in July and ended up going into Marham.
As you may have seen on another thread, that is now at AMSG Shawbury and unlikely to fly again.

It's been a real pleasure writing this down for people to understand what the flying business is all about. After 35 years in industry, I've found the sharp end seems a long way away from what 99% of people do from day to day. The folks in the office know when I have a silly grin what I'm thinking of ! (especially at these particularly dark times nowadays)

Quite frankly, the best thread I've ever seen. Had me riveted from start to finish. For saying you were feeling so sicky, you did a cracking job with the camera. Triple 'A' Star with Honours. Thanks for sharing.

Great set of shots, hope you enjoyed the ride as much as I did when I had my ride. Have posted a few shots up from inside the cockpit, hopefully encourage a few others to do the same!

Apologies for the thread revival...

I've been talking to John (teeonefixer) after he responded to my "Mixed bag of scans Pt33" saying he was on the Air France Concorde in that post with his parents. He doesn't post much but pointed me to this thread of his from long before I joined FC.

Thanks John - really enjoyed sharing your fast jet experience, an excellent post.

Of course I envy your fortune in getting a fast jet ride, but the reality is I would have been chucking up throughout, watching from the ground is a much better option for me!!

Thought it was well worth the the bump so other newer members could enjoy it as well.

Just picked up on this thread - excellent pictures and narrative.

I lucked in back in 1979 on a weather ship check ride . . . and spent most of it viewing the inside of a sick bag . . . but not one regret.

Thanks to teeonefixer for the thread and KeBul for reviving it.
