More George H W Bush

Post by RRconway » Mon May 30, 2011 8:30 pm

Hi all,

I know there are several sets of photos of the carrier already but on Sunday I spent 2 hours stuck on the closed A3, 45 minutes getting into Gun Wharf car park and pleaded to be let on the 2pm boat trip, only to be completely soaked bobbing around on the Solent to get these pictures, so here they are!!!!

If you were on the boat with me, it was actually quite good fun wasn’t it? :)

The red ship alongside is apparently according to the commentary for removing the waste, not fuelling….well 5,500 sailors have to go somewhere!!!!

One of the locals, the IOW Hovercraft.

One of our little ships, not sure who or what she is, can anybody tell me?

Then I had to go to the Mother in Laws to use her tumble dryer to dry out….the things we do for our hobbies

Cheers,
Jeff.

Nice shots :thumb: :thumb: The destroyer is HMS Diamond, and beyond that was sister HMS Daring and USS Truxton if you saw them.

 Just found that out after being tipped off about the gangplank siding, hadn't noticed that, doh....you beat me to it.
I couldn't see the others from the boat.
Thanks for the comments, glad you like them. :)
