Lakenheath/Mildenhall [Cobra Warrior Sept'24] [Large post 38 photos]

Post by Widget » Sat Apr 19, 2025 1:07 pm

I have finally gotten around to finishing my editing from my first trip down to Lakenheath and Mildenhall back from September 2024 while Cobra Warrior exercise was going on. I filled 5 memory cards over the week which took some time to filter through and the weather was on the whole quite mixed but gave some great conditions for photography at times. A nice mixed bag with visiting aircraft from the Norwegian F-35s at Lakenheath, Aviano F-16s at Mildenhall and Vermont F-35s transiting back through Lakenheath. Not to mention the normal based aircraft at both bases which was all new for me anyway. Hope some find it of interest.

Some great shots there. Eagles & Vipers are my faves. I do miss my trips to EGUL.

Great series of pictures; two great bases, and great aircraft ! These shots are very sharp, and they make a great tribute to this exercice ! thanks for sharing !

For those of us unable to get across in person, these shots give a real flavour of events during the exercise and the movements and actions that occured from the home crews. Great set of photos, thanks for posting.

Lovely set of images - the evening EOR Strike Eagle line up is especially nice.
