Murcia San Javier december 2024

Post by piet3inab » Sat Dec 21, 2024 5:06 pm

Spend a nice few days in Spain near Murcia. Went twice to the airport where patrulla Aguila was very active together with the PC21's. A German A40 came for a quick stop.

@urshouse, all shots were taken from the spot near te campsite, i just walked along te road leading to the campsite till i came to the end of the runway. So nowhere near the olf terminal

Urshouse, the old civil terminal is inaccessible. When you drive southbound along the airfield, at the end you see a sign for the campground. Turn left there and at the end you can park your car there at the campground entrance. This is the place where you take your pictures when they take-off in southerly direction. When they take-off in northerly direction photo opportunities are even better. Go from the campsite entrance back and at the 2nd 90 degree turn you are at the spot where the aircraft are lining-up for take-off. You need a small stepladder there, something like 15 inches. So when you can choose when to go, choose a day there is northerly winds, just look on adsb. HTH.
