SJ F-15Es arriving at Lakenheath 9th November.

Post by WinchesterMGF » Sun Nov 10, 2024 8:57 pm

9 Seymour Johnson F-15Es arrived at Lakenheath yesterday en-route back to the US after a busy time out East.
I thought you may like to see some of the nose art they are carrying. It's not the full set of 9 alas - the light was less than ideal and some camera user-error mistakes were made. B^gger etc ... Thanks Mr Slogan for the tail number vs Nose Art tie ups. I'd love to know what the story is behind the boat kill mark on 88-1695 "Set". :O

It's on my Flickr page Mike but purely for reference. It's a terrible shot. 😄

Are you sure he's not a member on here? With those credentials he'd fit right in... 😄

Great set of images Andy given how awful the light was - damn shame the sun wasn’t shining. Some really fantastic nose art on display here, thanks for sharing.

You might like to know about the boat but I'd be interested in what the arrows and tomahawks signify exactly?

The 335th FS are the "Chiefs" hence the native American theme.
