Hi all,

Been away this week and part of last week just across the water to Netherlands, mainly for Falcon Leap. Luckily in my time there I managed to catch the last the final Dutch F-16 operational mission. Tomorrow marks the day of retirement with a farewell flypast round the Netherlands. In my opinion, when fully marked up like this jet, they are one of the smartest F-16s out there.

Here is one of many images from my trip, the sun gods really did play ball by throwing some sun into what had been dark clouds all day.

Nice shot, but a sad occasion, going to miss seeing these, but well over forty years of service life for the type. I saw my first Dutch examples in 1981 at Greenham Common (J-232) and Finningley (J-244/246/260). Happy days.
