Lossie Friends & Families Day and a Wee Extra

Post by aenstrop » Wed Jul 17, 2024 3:14 pm

Sat 13th July saw Lossie F&F Day take place. Not a great amount of flying taking place; a couple of Typhoons and a Poseidon doing some flypasts and an F-35B doing a role demo. On static were a couple of Typhoons, a Poseidon, an Atlas, a Phenom, a USAF F-16C, an Irish Air Corp Casa C-295 MPA and a Marine Scotland Reims-Cessna F-406.

Lastly, the wee treat we had this morning; a Catalina doing a flypast on its way from Aberdeen to Lerwick.

Thanks for looking.

All good

Nice to have an SP on static

I wondered why Marham recovered an F-35B Stealth callsign on Sunday.

Nice set Al. Few decent static visitors for once.
Cheers Niall

It is a shame Lossie are unable to hold a full Airshow, Leuchars are really really missed.

The F35 put on a good show, arguably better than the demo at RIAT tbh

Must have been a full static display as the second SP wasn't out for viewing, shame.
