'Firebird' flares

Post by 3Greens » Thu Apr 11, 2024 1:27 pm

Made a quick call into Donna Nook this morning as I noted P-8A ZP809 as 'Firebird 16' making its way down from Lossie. Sister machine ZP806 had had a couple of sessions on here earlier this week for 'flare' firing training. Around here usually only see P-8's cruising high altitude on airways and their low level patrols are obviously out at sea so nice to see some action from them.

Thanks for the comments chaps.
Certainly was a bit of a rarity, guess it was another box that had to be ticked for the armourer in the back

Cheers
