Visited here back in 2017 and as was in Australia again last month thought would visit again to catch up with some of the local F35's. Pretty good for spotting, if you visit the excellent Fighterworld Museum (20 AUS dollars) adjacent to the airfield there is a viewing platform which the locals use for photography. Also next to the museum is a cafe which has a grass area at the back next to the perimeter fence which also allows decent photography and is where most of these shots were taken though some fencing does get in the way. I visited on the afternoon of the 28th Feb and again on the morning of the 29th, logged a total of 18 different F35's , several Hawks, 3 Wedgetails and just the two PC-21's in that time. PC-21's were very shy but think they only have 4 based here with 4 Squadron.
