On the final day of our trip to Poland, we yet again went on a rather long journey, to Piła in North West Poland, to attend a photoshoot with a SU-22 which was originally based in Piła. Despite not flying since 2003, it was in excellent condition, and the museum were incredibly accommodating to photographers, moving the aircraft into various positions around the airfield where the light and backdrop were favourable, even letting us climb on top of a Hardened Aircraft Shelter! Unfortunately we couldn't stay for the whole shoot and the barbecue at the end, as we had to get back to Gdansk for our flight home, but we had a great time nonetheless and it was great to photograph a Fitter in a classic Eastern European airbase setting.
We were rather lucky to get on the shoot, having found it on facebook the previous morning, and the journey which involved 3 different trains was rather concerning with some delays, but it all worked out in the end
