Waddington (again) 16.3.23

Post by reaper493 » Thu Mar 16, 2023 10:06 pm

Popped up this afternoon, was unsure if the Belgians would fly considering they are off home tomorrow.

But they put on the best show yet with all 6 jets up and a few spirited low approaches on arrival.

Excellent shots.Particular like the one where the pilot of the tiger jet throws his hands in the air(mock horror?)as if he knows what's happening beneath him.

Ummmm, I'm guessing you've never enjoyed the experience of a 'Tiger Meet' yet DC7C59 ? When you do visit one, you'll note that those hand gestures actually represent 'Tiger Claws' & are a familiar recognised pose for most all Tiger aircrew participants.
Well done with these images reaper493.The Nav' lights & burners were very bright at time of take-off, so credit to you for getting anything from the landings so late in the day!

Thanks for the enlightenment Supra. What I also liked about this jet was how,in other shots, the colour of the markings was echoed in the colour of the afterburner.

I did wonder....

How that extra 6ft made the difference to their shot I don't know.
