USA December 2021 - AZ/CA/NV

Hi everybody.

A long time without any photos posted here mainly due to the covid crisis and the closed borders. I chose to go back to the southwest of the US for a 9 days trip mid december. Not so lucky with the weather so hereafter just a quick summary with blue sky, more or less.

A nice weekend at Mesa Gateway airport :

Nellis with an activity stopped twice at 1.30pm, pretty frustrating... but I had the opportunity to get this fashion coating in AZ/CA.

Tucson Intl. still with a lot of activity, several waves from 8am.

And Luke AFB, very busy even on friday. More than 80 movements, 12 Canadians CF-188 were there.

Not for commercial purposes, I’m practicing getting my drawing back up to scratch at the moment. Cheers for that, if/when I post I’ll put a reference image credit as I always do. Thanks again.

Twenty years ago I found Gateway a good place to go on a weekend.
Does NAF El Centro have any Carrier Air Wing work up ops these days or are they all at Fallon, back in the day I had a few fantastic days at EC when the Air Wing were there..
