Lakenheath this week.

Gents,

Nothing special but managed to get a couple of days off and some surprisingly good weather for late September so put in two trips over to the other side of Suffolk. I've just realized this is my first trip over for a year, never had that big a gap before. All fairly regular 24 approach fare.

What appear to be inert Mk84's under the fuselage.

Obviously not present when he came back.

The USAF has recently had a well known pilot shortage, but giving the keys of a F-15E to a sith lord seems a little too much!

Haven't seen a Ops Group jet for a while.

Or the 48th FW jet for that matter.

...and of course the Reapers.

The three that performed the flypast early yesterday afternoon in the overhead.

..and the two Hawks that arrived.

All fairly routine stuff, but worth a couple of run outs.

What a superb set of images, perfect light, excellent, thanks for sharing.. :thumb:
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Great stuff

People used to say Tornados were routine in this country until they disappeared.

Very nice Gary. I was doing the reverse and made 2 visits to Wattisham, also my 1st in over a year. :)

Sounds good, it seems that the first Wattisham flights of the AH-64E may be coming in the near future - finally!

Good afternoon Gary

The Hawk T2s look good to

Hawks may have been on a reciprocal visit, 2 15Es visited the Valley Friends & Families Day last month, including the 48OG machine
