Iraqi Air Force at Bournemouth

Post by ams39uk » Thu Nov 18, 2010 4:39 pm

Four Hawker Beechcraft T-6A Texan IIs destined for the Iraqi Air Force made a transit journey through Bournemouth Airport, arriving on Tuesday evening. They were due to depart yesterday morning but with cross winds at the airport in excess of 30mph there departure was curtailed.
The four aircraft,Serialed YI-512, 513, 514 and 515 left for Genova in Italy just after 8 this morning and are the final aircraft from two orders placed in August 2009 at a cost of $257 million (€188 million) and will equip the 2nd Training Squadron at Tikrit Air Base.

Cheers Chaps,

Was shooting at 1/80th of a second hand held, so not as sharp as i would have liked, but the trade off was a higher shutter speed and an ISO of around 1600 far too grainy, as it was i had ISO's of around 500.After the last one left at 08:30 the skies cleared, typical weather this year....
