Yeovilton - 18 May

Post by Seacat192 » Wed May 19, 2021 7:02 am

Spent a few hours at Yeovilton on Tuesday. Sunny at times, chucking it down at others!

Good to see Neil (Cessna954) once again.

These two photos of Furious 1 and Furious 2 departing were taken as one of those heavy downpours passed over the airfield.

I hope the Mods don't mind me adding a couple of classics from the Navy Wings fleet:

Finally, RNAS Yeovilton is also known as HMS Heron, so a formation flypast by two Grey Herons seemed an appropriate way to end this post:

Sorry for not being totally 'Modern Military', but thanks for looking at my efforts. C&C welcome.

Nice to see this one, as I believe this hasn't flown for a while.

Thanks George.

Glad I was parked at the bottom of the lane, as I would have got absolutely soaked if I'd parked any further away.

The weather app on the phone helped with the heads up on the approaching deluge though!

Thanks Dougie.

Can get a nice variety of movements when the Navy Wings aircraft are out and about.
