Oh how I shall miss them !

Post by johnwickenden » Tue Oct 01, 2019 7:16 am

I know it's not the best shot in the world and, frankly, it's not like me to get overly sentimental, but I just couldn't resist posting just this one shot. a) they are facing the wrong way....they are normally nose toward the runway and b) it's not been very often in recent years you see 14 of the beasties lined up!

Soon to be gone....never to be forgotten

Its gonna rain, its gonna rain till the levee breaks, a tidal wave of fear and pain washes us away, another fight into the night until nothing else remains, how do we find harbour from the Hurricane?

lovely pic but they are facing the right way to allow for clearance as they taxi away from dispersal. At least the tutors will remain for now!

For me, loads. As much as I like the jets going at warp 7, in the LL areas, I always liked seeing a Tucano. Much better than a Hawk T1 any day. :D

Strange, every other time I have visited LOO the tucs were facing towards the runway. Seem the remember the JPs doing the same. Maybe I must only go on the "exception" days

Will be sad to see her go. They are even regular down here over the Brecon Beacons when on cross country land away flights. Another type gone from the valleys :-(

It depends which runway is in use as to which way they are parked on the dispersal. Can’t for the life of me remember which way was which though.
They will be very sadly missed.
