Tornado FINale

Post by LN Strike Eagle » Sun Mar 24, 2019 5:28 pm

Some shots from a couple of trips to RAF Marham to catch the final day of the FINale Flypasts, featuring all three specials, and then a return visit for five grey jets the following Tuesday which ended up being my last sighting of live Tornados. Didn't make it to the big diamond nine event unfortunately.

Couple of visiting Tucanos to begin:

And now the Tornados, in no particular order:

An F-35 that unusually taxiied around the loop by the fenceline rather than turn around on the runway. :thumb:

One from Mildenhall to end:

I think there's only about nine or ten based there, but you'd probably be lucky to see four in a day. They normally fly the same jets morning and afternoon in my experience, but I didn't pay them too much attention really as they were mostly a long way from the fence compared to the Tornados, so well out of reach of my lens.
