B-1B Lancer 'Mytee 92' leaving Mildenhall

Post by quid21 » Sat Sep 01, 2018 2:22 pm

After a few hours waiting, B-1B Lancer 'Mytee 92' departed Mildenhall with a low take off.

Absolutely awesome sight, together with sunny weather for once, and a bit of luck I got to see one of these magnificent beasts fly for the first time since Airfete!

Was in Kwikfit when it landed earlier, saw it flying over the top!, but luckily it was set for a quick gas and go without going tech so I dashed over and waited in aniticpation!

Hope you like them.

Hi,

I wondered what it looked like close up from Johns Field at that height. I was going to say from looking at my pics why no afterburner, but clearly he did.

Hi Gary,

It was 50/50 I guess, but given that he/she took on a large fuel load, it was likely that he/she would keep it low for a while to build up speed before climbing.

A lovely set, but the first photo is superb, two B1's in the same frame. Outstanding !!!
