Just a map and directions to the valley. No timings so far that I can see. A bit like a treasure hunt!

It definitely looks that way, wasn’t planning on driving all the way to Eskishar the night before but with 2.5hiur the other side to go that plan may have to change.

I might sit in the car!

The transition route from the vehicle pathway
to the filming area is of "Moderate-Hard"
difficulty level.
* Since it is a natural habitat, caoution should
be taken for potential encounters with wild
animals.
* It is recommended that press members and
spotters using the elevations within the filming
area carry trekking poles and wear footwear
suitable for rugged terrain.
* Due to cold weather conditions, guests are
advised to dress accordingly when coming to

I’m happy with all of that advice except what caution against what animals? I mean bear spray and a hand gun or mosquito spray? That’s the one part that isn’t very informative.

As long as you can run faster than your mate!

I travel light and no room for walking boots!

I had a look at Google earth, and it looks like a gentle stroll to me.

They mention trekking poles !

Looking at the forecast the day time temperature is similar to the UK perhaps a bit warmer 12-15c during the day but then drops below zero at night!

😂 I don’t fancy my chances! My lad is joining me on the Saturday and he’s a bit fitter than me, as Paul said looking at Google earth it doesn’t look like a bad walk to be honest.

Don't underestimate what google earth shows... the climb to a spot in Greece looked fairly simple on maps, but although short it absolutely got the heart rate going

Also on the temperatures.. again back to Greece during the day we had 30+, but the morning was very cold... pays to be prepared
Cheers
Aaron

This guy on YouTube has posted a video of them doing a recce of the site and a practice of the low level flight

https://www.youtube.com/@ahmtmhmtbyglu

EDIT: I think it's a video from Flight Sim or similar, but hopefully useful insight nonetheless.

Indeed. Have you checked out the recent messages on the TuAF Whats App Group from the last ten minutes or so? They're looking into alternative arrangements for the low-fly.

Indeed , I'm guessing people having booked flights etc already is going to cause issues with that one.

Yeah, the poll says moving dates isn't an option for most. Lots of people suggesting some extra time on base instead, which I personally would be delighted with.

I'm sure they'll be keen to fly low if possible. It's still only Tuesday and the forecast is likely to change as the week goes on. It's good to see them preparing a plan B though

Long wait but omg that was incredible - low and fast flying by the two Turkish Air Force Phantoms

Never seen anything quite like that before

73-1052 plus one special marks "Phantom forever"

Everyone is buzzing
