Aviation nation 2025

Post by 65thAgressor » Sat Apr 05, 2025 6:29 pm

Now streaming live on youtube. I have a friend who is there,he says static is poor. No heavy stuff, the largest in static is a v22 osprey.

The static was a bit sparse without the heavies. Aswell as the Osprey there were Four Alabama F-35's, two Oregon F-15's, a Langley T-38 and then a few Nellis based items. The system to get in was horrific with way too many people turning up and there was no control over the numbers. Even though it's free entry they should've still had a system in place were by they knew how many people to expect. It was chaotic. I'll never say a bad word about the RIAT que again.

Having said all that it was my first ever Stateside show and I did find it enjoyable. The flying display was very good. The CAD demonstration is brilliant and it's ashame that we haven't got anything quite like it over here.

My log from the show. I only really log 'modern' stuff so I haven't included the Warbirds. If anybody else was at the show and somehow managed to log either of the two Oregon Eagles sitting on the South side of the base that would be appreciated. The heat haze made it pretty much impossible with my 400mm.

I meant to get a photo of this on the way out as I couldn't get close to it on the way in and I'd completely forgotten that it was there. Thanks for that!

They are now known in USAF service as the OA-1K Skyraider II.

To add to the excellent list above, on the Sunday two UAE F16's were noted , 3031 and 3006 .

Those F-16s are UAEAF, not Iraqi.
