Nato Tiger Meet 2014

I’m wishing to attend the Tiger Meet this year at Jagel 51, at Schleswig, Germany.

Has anybody got any advice on how easy it is to get there, whether it easier to fly into Hamburg or Copenhagen and then get the train?

Also, added to this, how easy is it to get from Schleswig to Karup for the air show by public transport.

I am also considering the ferry option to Esbjerg but the cost of taking the car is high, but this option would enable me to take my camping gear and be able to drive to Karup.

Any advice welcome please

Thanks

Rob

Hi

Planning to head over to Schleswig myself, looking at attending on the Thursday. We're flying into Amsterdam and driving up to Schleswig on the Wednesday then back down to Holland to take in the show at Gilze-Rijen. Reckon it will be a bigger, hopefully better, show that Karsup.

As for your specific plans I would say it be more convenient to fly into Hamburg. Can't comment on public transport, but Car Hire will likely be much cheaper in Hamburg rather than Copenhagen.

Hi Indiana Moffatt,

I think it's for you the best way to fly to Hamburg.
There you can rent a car for a few days and drive to Schleswig and Karup.
From Hamburg to Schleswig is about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
And from Schleswig-Jagel to Karup is about 2,5 hour.
I wish you a good time into Germany.

Does anybody have a list or a link for a list of aircraft that participated in the tiger meet please?
