Re: WIttmund Request please
These were in the maintainace hangar behind the German A319 static. There was also a Me-109 (or Hispania whatever) in there too. The hangar was open on the public open day (Saturday), but I see from other reports that it wasn't open on the spotters day.X29 JET wrote:Hi All I visited Wittmund on Fri/Sat 28th/29th for the spotters day and Flugtag on the Saturday.I have since seen on an Internet site list I may have missed 2 Airframes on Displaythese were F104 24+85 and F86 JA106 if anyone would be so kind as to forward a couple of shots to me for my records it would be very much appreciated and if anyone needs anything I may have in return . anyway many thanks look forward to the replies. There were also a number of other active aircraft in closed HAS shelters at the eastern end - mostly Typhoons. It was fairly obvious which ones contained aircraft (on Saturday at least) since they had guards patrolling outside the doors and constant tannoy announcements that access "to ze shelters ist stricktly verboten".
Re: WIttmund Request please
We were told on the Friday by a Luftwaffe pilot that this was 31+01 but access to confirm the serial was not allowed.
