been there a few times and alsthough easy to access from UK (30-40 mins from Channel Tunnel/Ports) the actual displays are further away from the crowd line than we ae used too. Would recommend for a euro show this year Radom in Poland which I believe is rumoured to feature one of the Russial teams this year

One recommendation I can add to Koksijde is to go in and do the static then head off to the bridge at the end of the runway where the locals hang out. Thereby getting some nice shots, because like HunterF6 said, photography on base is sketchy at best. This show is so close to Calais that those who live in the south east of England can treat it as a local show!
Europe has some great offers this year, Radom looks good and Turkey even better, so if its the good stuff we dont get here anymore yoyr after I can really recommend heading to Europe to sate your appetite!

It's is illegal in Belgium (Much like it is here) but they really do crack down on people using them, couple of thousand Euro fine if I remember rightly.

So would you think they would let people use them at the airshow or not?

Brummiekid wrote:Just booked the ferry for a "long" day at Koksijde.
I used DFDS online and it came to £19.00 (Paid with PayPal & Quidco gave me a further discount with cash-back)
This is for a car & 4 passengers, route is Dover - Dunkirk.
6.00am outward and 8.00pm return (local times)
I need to find a campsite in Kent so I can drive down the night before and get an early start.
Looking forward to it now!

Just hope your going Thursday, not Wednesday

When we went back in 2006, there were people using scanner on the outside and during the show. But the locals did say it wasn't a good idea. So ours stayed in the car.

Quick question please!
Based on previous shows here, what are the traffic queues like on entry please?
Thanks for any help.

Seem to remember this question being asked before, but can not find the answer.
What if any campsites are avialable in the Koksijde area. Also having been to the Koksijde shows before I know the photo oppertunities inside are limited, so what is it like on the south side of the field. It looks like the runway ends are accesible but what about parking, do the local farmers open up thier land ?
Thanks for your help.

On both runway ends no parking possible, west side park in Koksyde and walk, east side park in Veurne and then walk

re camping - there is Camping Ter Hoeve. Its Near Plopsaland, which is less than 2 miles from the base. Its costing me bout 15 euros. I searched camping at De Panne. Seems to be plenty of places around there. Hope this helps
