Hi Gary,

Have you done this show before, what do you think to it? Quite interested in possibly trying something different...

I've seen Threshold Aero are looking to tour it, do you know of any others?

Thanks! :thumb:

The show has an interesting line up usually. Went there 4 times. For photography it isn’t the best to be honest. But on rehearsal Friday, it’s great from the outside. You can stay (outside the base) in the display area, so good for photos you might get nowhere else.

Have done the show 4 or 5 times. You are northside of the runway, so it's limited for photography. However....

If you know where to go you can park southside and then photograph from there. There are perhaps half a dozen "enterprising" land owners who organise their fields as unofficial car parks. Get there early, and you can walk around to the northside and go it to photograph the static. Then return southside for the flying display.

The other trick is to go to Radom on one day, and then go 30 miles up the road to Minsk Mazoweiki on the second day. The Mig-29's and SU-22's operate from here for the mass flypast. Photos opportunities are good at both ends, and security tolerate spotters. Once the flypast is over, head back to Warsaw for a mid afternoon flight back to blighty.

Note however that there have been rumours that all the Mig-29s have moved up to Malbork now, and some/many have been shipped in parts to Ukraine. Minsk might not now be what it used to be.

All airworthy Migs have gone to Malbork indeed. Minsk Mazowiecki is being prepared for the F-35, so probably nothing will happen there anymore for the next period of time

I thought the FA-50 would go to Minsk and F-35 go to Lask.

And Radom is a great show.
Especially to see great variety of Polish aircraft but also large amount of foreign participants.

In that case, my bad. But Minsk is closed for now, for reconstruction and modernization of the airbase.

No problem.
The first FA-50 (ex Koreans?) are expect somewhere in 3 quarter of the year I read somewhere. So maybe just in time for the air show.

Never been to Radom before. Is the crowd line on the south side or north side of the runway?
