NATO Tiger Meet 2019 Mont-de-Marsan
Re: NATO Tiger Meet 2019 Mont-de-Marsan
Beja 2020, Kleine Brogel 2021.
Re: NATO Tiger Meet 2019 Mont-de-Marsan
Beja Portugal for 2020? I think I might have to attend my first Tiger Meet, not too far from my favourite bit of the Algarve.

I was asked what the specially painted Austrian Saab105 that didn't fly was - I can belatedly see from my photo it is GD-14

Wow, there’s trying to take the positives out of a rough day but...seriously?PeteHemsley wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 8:31 pmI'm glad the sun was behind the cloud and rain today as the sheer heat would have killed all runway shots for everybody.
Maybe it’s just me but surely for most photographers a bit of haze and decent light has to be preferable to the horrendous conditions today.

All depends what you want. I'm extremely happy with the photos I've came away with and dropping down to 1/50th was a lot of fun. Trust me. I'm sure I'm not the only one who hates shooting in heat hazeIanOlder wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 10:23 pmWow, there’s trying to take the positives out of a rough day but...seriously?PeteHemsley wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 8:31 pmI'm glad the sun was behind the cloud and rain today as the sheer heat would have killed all runway shots for everybody.

Re: NATO Tiger Meet 2019 Mont-de-Marsan
My second tiger meet.
The rain was disappointing, but a great day with the bonus of the 3 displays in the afternoon. The French were very accommodating and welcoming.
Hopefully I can make it to Portugal next year.

I will have a complete list ( as I am sure others will have) once I have gone through my photos plus one or two that didn't fly
Re: NATO Tiger Meet 2019 Mont-de-Marsan
After a very recent week at Fallon, Rainbow Canyon and Chino airshow I would much rather have the sun and the opportunity to photograph aircraft in great light (even with the risk of some shots lost through haze) than grey skies and wet days. Sadly chose not to go to the Tiger Meet because of the Met but accept I lost the opportunity to photograph great Tiger themed aircraft.

Also flying in the afternoon launch only was Rafale C 118 30-IW with Tiger colours around nose.
Also KLu F-16AM J-014 & J-197 arrived at end of the afternoon recovery, just before Tiger Meet formation and PdF flypast/display.
