Does anyone know what the catering vouchers offer and if they are really necessary or just a queue jumper?

You have to buy tickets for food and drink, easier to buy them in advance rather tha queue on tlhe day.

I bought €50 worth and still ran out, so had to buy more. Damn Jupiler beer being too drinkable

1 ticket = 1 beer
2 tickets = fries, burgers etc

Dont forget the €4 to pee too

I went on the site at 9 and on the top tabs they had "Buy insider tickets now". I bought the combi ticket and parking. Didn't get a catering voucher though...
