This Air Show turned out to be mainly civil as it did not use the Air Base but performed over the Mar Menor with participating aircraft coming in from other airfields The only military items were as follows:-
Casa 212 opened the show with the para drop
Policia National H135
Guardia Civil H135
Swiss AF PC-7 Team
Spanish AF Casa C-101 Eagle Patrol
Also the FAAQ were due to appear with 2 O-1s and a Cessna 337. The latter turned up with one O-1.
AND the best item the HA200 which was EC-IFJ.
If anyone has a full report with numbers and registrations I would be obliged.
Regrettably one of the display pilots of the Extra was killed on the way to the airfield he used. Seemingly his cockpit was hit by a vulture which caused the aircraft to go out of control, crashing and being destroyed by fire. This happened near Ciudad Royal. RIP Olivier Masurel

Re: San Javier Air Show - 05/05/24
I'll answer my own question as after considerable searching of the www, the number of photos posted have given me a complete log except for the Spanish AF Eagle Squadron. So here them all including the civvies:-

Spanish AF Eagle Patrol - 7 C101s, presently unknown
Not exactly setting the heather on fire but there were a few choice items. This is going to be an annual event on the first May weekend holiday. The show was over the Mar Menor and the various acts came from four different airfields. The timings were spot on to the minute as advertised for a four hour show. The viewing crowds were on the beach at Santiago de la Ribera and supposedly numbered 180,000.
