Likewise. Anyone fluent enough in German to ask the Bank how much it will be to cover their charges and pay the balance.

Same here. This is a charge made by the organiser's bankers to the organisers. It is surely just another cost of the event and that should have been taken into account when determining the fee payable by all particpants. I have paid the required €40 from my bank account.

What’s to say the organisers bank are not going to charge you again, and once again they won’t receive the full amount?

Wouldn't you have to pay more than that? €15 to cover the original shortfall and €nn for another transfer fee??

At €15 out of €40 that's a hefty 37.5% charge levied, but the UK banks cap receiving charges.

Using the same percentage receiving charge fee, you would need to pay €21 to cover the €15 top-up plus another fee.

Definitely a cock-up on their side, they probably need to be talking to someone at their bank regarding the charges, then at least coming back to those that have applied and advising the exact amount required to cover their €40.
Personally I don't mind paying so they actually receive €40, I appreciate all the effort by the organisers to sort out these days for us enthusiasts.

Pity really, if they had realised from the start they could have factored it in at €65 per ticket to cover, but then they would have needed two prices one for local payments and one for international.

I’ve had the same em ail and my bank don’t charge for euro payments. If one pays the extra charge will the organisers bank skim off again?

This is a mess

Has anyone else replied to the email, stating that their bank does not have any transaction fees, and that it is in fact the organisers bank that has made the charges?

I really am inclined to think the 'Organisers' should radically rework their operating procedures, First-off there was a gaff whereby you could register for Day 2 but only able to pay with a reference to Day1. The application details have
an English language option, BUT the payment details are only in German! Having navigated the dick of individual applications & multiple individual payments you eventually can't be processed within their deadline? Surely in this
age of Tech' it can't be that hard to register say 3 applications, receive 3 separate ID. numbers & make one payment for 3 persons invoking just one slimy, dodgy transaction fee? Just sayin'
IIRC the last date of registration was due to be 12th April, but in-fact all but Sold-out inside a week! Clearly they didn't anticipate such a response & that lack of foresight is causing them a logistical nightmare.

The OUTRIGHT simplest way to prevent them being bombarded with individual emails would be to send a blanket email to all currently registered applicants advising that :
" Due to unexpected demand for tickets allied to a wholly unprepared administration team, we have decided to extend the payment deadline to 21 days after the date of Registration. This will allow our Bank to properly
fleece non-central European applicants & our drowning Admin' Team to process the 3000 payments received in just one week, thus preventing everybody shitting themselves with worry about exclusion?
Yours haphazardly, TM24 Jokesonyou."

I must be the exception to the rule...paid my €40 through the Barclays app which has a facility for international payment. Made the same basic mistake of putting the wrong reference against the payment details. But after a few days received my ticket yesterday for Day 2 with a receipt for €40 (€33.61 +19.0% VAT €6.39). I used DeepL for the translation, a very good app and its free.

I wonder if the receiving fee problem is to do with Bank used and/or payment method.

Like PA200 I've had no issues, using HSBC and IBAN it seems they've received the full €40, likewise my brother used Santander and no issues, perhaps some banks have agreements or systems setup to do these international transactions simply with no fees, but others don't and become subject to fees due to the complexity of completing the transaction.

At the moment the transaction fees certainly do not seem to be across the board, although I'm still waiting for another 5 ticket purchases to complete.

As I said previously, I appreciate the time and effort the organisers put into this, otherwise only a selected few (press) would be inside the base enjoying such great access to the exercise.

Are you saying you've not received your ticket yet? Think they are still working their way through matching registrations to payments.

I ordered 6, received confirmation and QR coded ticket for 5 of them, still waiting for the last one but have no reason to believe it will be an issue, all 6 were registered and paid for in exactly the same way with identical responses (3 emails for each through the registration process).

Looking at the timings for those I have received, I would have expected the last one Saturday... but suspect they are not working on this through the weekend.
