Finally!!! After 12 days of constantly trying to load the website and getting repeated blocking messages, I have just got through and been sent a ticket for the spotters' day. So, if you are having problems too, don't give up!

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
Just been for a walk along the western perimeter. In the northern corner are the Swiss: J-5014, 21, 07, 04 and 11 (special tail but up on jacks at the moment. Then a line of 10 F-16s, six Polish and four Greek and then further along another six Belgian. The Hungarians are in the shelters between the runways: 36, 39, 43 and a special tail which ends in zero I think (the crew ladder covers the serial.
Seven Italian F2000s are visible in the hangar building with a German Tornado in slot number 11. In this area are the Portuguese (5 of), French (3 and 3) and German (6 EF2000s and 5 more Tornadoes). Then moving south are 2 E-2s, three Turkish F-16s outside the shelters (1 D model and two with special markings).
Finally down the southern end are at least 3 helicopters but buildings and haze make this hard to identify.
Swiss citation T-784 earlier landed on 32L, took off on 32R and a Learjet took off on 14R so not sure which runway is in use.
Sounds of engines running now.
Ciao

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
All have returned by 13.10LT landing on 32L. Also up this morning we’re two HH101s, 2 gazelles and 2 tigers. The French helicopters are parked in the southern corner to the west of the runways.

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
Additional aircraft that flew in the afternoon but not in the morning were:
MM7325/36-44
31+02
E-2C number 3
4061 and 4055 and D model 4082
FA-107
Czech 9245 and 9237 - the Czechs are parked right in the south of the field
One of the Tigres is coded BJI
Then at about 5pm all the special schemes took off, presumably for a photoshoot accompanyed by 2 seaters 31+13 and MM55129/36-63. These included Rafale 30-FZ (presumably 359), Polish 4052, Czech 9244, Austrian 7L-WC and German 30+76. There were two Turks too, but I couldn’t see any serials on them in the fading light. Also Portuguese, Italian and Greek examples but I left before these landed.
Spotters day tomorrow to fill in some gaps hopefully. See many of you there no doubt.

What’s with the 1500 foot circuits and straight in approach. The tiger’s claws have well and truly been cut

I am going for a 'poor man's ' trip - just one whole day on Wednesday plus Tuesday afternoon c/o Ryanair from Stansted - I understand from photos and reports that the base is reasonably accessible from the outside - can you see tiger meet ramp ?
Thanks

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
The base is quite open. There is a road to the west of the base that follows the fence line and gives good views of the western runway which was the one used for most movements on the two days I was there. You can see most of the parked aircraft although some will be quite distant. The hardest things to see will be the French helicopters and the Czech grippens which are down the southern end. Definitely worth doing I think.

Ta for that
Re: Tiger Meet 2023
No flying at the open day, must have been a change of plan. There was a Belgian F-16 display patch available for the show.
Despite no flying was a good day. There would have been riots at RIAT if the food vendors were as slow as they was today.
Some of the Italians lived up to the stereotypes about them not knowing how to queue or just barge

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
Thanks for the logs
Just making a hit list
Can't find anything on scramble which really surprised me.
Any idea of the special HAF F-16 serial?
Plus the two Turkish specials
Cheers

Re: Tiger Meet 2023
Just an update to my logs above which might be helpful to any one going this week.
First there were a few new arrivals on Friday: Greek F-16D 029 in the morning and EF2000T 31+25, Tornado 43+59 and Hungarian 32 after lunch.
French helicopters (which all flew on Friday) were Tigres BJI and BHK and Gazelles GBJ, GBH, GBW and the red one GCJ.
Czech 2 seater 9820 flew on Friday and there was fifth, 9239, in one of the shelters at the 32L threshold visible from the bus. Also visible from the bus outbound was MM7324/36-41 at the northern end.
Turkish F-16D was 94-0105.
The Portuguese special in hangar 12 was 15105.
Second E-2 is 2 and the sixth Belgian is FA-72.
If anyone can fill in a couple of gaps I would be grateful. I wasn't able to read anything off the Italian helicopters, 3 HH-101 and 1 HH-139.
German tornado in hangar 11.
The Mirage 2000D which didn't fly either day I was there is 30-JF according to photos on Facebook. Scramble database has this as 641. But special tail 30-JW had 641 on the nosewheel door.
And there were four specially painted F-16s which I couldn't see any serials on - 2 Turkish, 1 Greek and 1 Portuguese.
Hope that is of use to somebody.
David.
