Today visited the museum.
What a superb museum that is. Without one of the best in Europe at a beautiful location
Visited it some 10 years a go. Collection grew (including type(s) still inservice AB212 eg.
New hangar the hangar 100. ( 7 in total) New roads are laid (you could smell the asphalt ( is that the correct word?) Buildings are all painted. And a great collection of (unique) aircraft and artefacts.
A lot pf people were their already on the first day.

Pieter.
Ps. In the hall (6?) with eniges next to the Atlantic are to cockpits sections at the back.

After a blisteringly successful 2 days at the show, well done Italy. We took a metro and suburban train to the coast and a no. 7 bus to the west gate, (half mile walk) for a grand total of 3 Euro, all one ticket!

To start the ball rolling for Saturday's flypast the 3 camo AW139's that flew were 15-50/15-56/15-75.Two of our party were flagging in the heat and we didn't realise there was to be a mass flypast towards the end so all were viewed off base.

The scramble forum has most serials for the flypast Friday and Saturday.
The “100” for all 3 days remains unknown so far

Scramble has the codes of the flypast on Friday and says only 1 F35 was different in the Saturday effort

Well it was a Navy F-35B. Unless the F-35A can do hover landings which it did on Friday.

Does the Italian AF have F-35B, I assumed they were all Navy to replace the harriers.

Both the Air Force and the Navy have F-35B. At the moment both have two.
The ones flying for the Navy have a text Marina on the engine intake.

Also, when the one at Pratica was in hover mode, the engine intake for hovering showed AM. Which is the Aeronautica Militare.

And as a last hint, there were only Air Force aircraft at this show, nothing from the Army, Navy or any other services.
