3 Junos is this afternoon

Post by Kevin Brewer » Mon Aug 06, 2018 2:03 pm

3 Jumps have arrived here in the last half hour or so. All now packed on the main ramp, engines shut down, flight tags in place and awaiting their turn for refuelling. Could this be a delivery flight?
Codes 22, 31 and 32 confirmed by Mark one eyeball.

All 3 still on the ground with no sign of movement as at 15.32 local. Also on the touchline are B.212 ZJ969 plus two unidentified Gazelles.

As far as I know, no Junos to be based at MW, so should be visitors.

Thanks for that. Does this mean that all future Army rotary wing training will be carried out at Shawbury?

Training at Shawbury with fairly regular deployments - such as this - to Middle Wallop.

Many thanks. I'll have to keep my eyes on ADS-B in future rather than making the occasional trip over there on spec!

Is Jumps the new spotter's nick-name for Junos?

Only joking, I presume it was a typo!
