Visiting Merlin HM.2, 15th March

Post by Kevin Brewer » Thu Mar 15, 2018 7:18 pm

Noted on the ground here a little after 10am this morning was a RN Merlin HM.2. I suspect this was ZH853, which I noted heading in this general direction some 30 minutes earlier on ADS-B, with an 'Excal' call sign (Possibly Excal03), but confirmation would be appreciated.

Gazelle AH.1 ZA766 was pulled out of Hangar 2 for an engine test but hadn't flown by the time I left at a little after 11am.

The Merlin was ZH846 and was using Excalibur 04.It fuel stopped at Middle Wallop en route to a school visit in Surrey.
May the skies be clear and blue and the wind fair with a guiding star to steer by.
