The mach loop in DCS

Post by Spookygnu » Thu Oct 20, 2016 10:46 pm

Does anyone here know of a way I can get my map of the machloop into DCS World?

I have made two versions of the map for a Arma 3. If you don't know or haven't heard of Arma 3 you can find it here https://arma3.com/

Now Arma 3 is more of a combat infantry/flightsim game but I created the mach loop last year on a 20x20km map for the game. I also implimented RAF VALLEY onto it aswell. Version 2 of the map I have not yet released to the community as this is still a WIP. At the moment it is 30x30km and at 1:1 scale with a 1m resolution map image.

Ideally I would like to know if I can get this map into one of the flight sims that are available.

With my map being of a limited squared area, is that feasble for DCS or even FSX? Can anyone advise on any of the constraints of the modding side of things in DCS and FSX. Pretty knew to the real sims. the flight model in Arma can prove to be a bit naff compared to anything in DCS and FSX so if you haven't got arma and decide you want it, be prepared for a half assed flight model, certainly when it comes to fixed wing. The rotary wing flight model has a standard and advanced model (which is ok).

Anyway, enough rambling.

have a ganders at this!
